Crack List<\/em> trial success<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mid winter and chilly outside, there were six of us – Nicole<\/strong> was away at work in Melbourne, and El Prez<\/strong> at a birthday party. Mind you, knowing Wayne<\/strong>‘s attitude to tonight’s main game it wasn’t surprising he’d rather be at a birthday party for one of his neighbours turning 92. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main event was Five Crowns<\/em> in which Rob <\/strong>got off to a flying start by immediately “going out” in the first two rounds, and also in round 3 not long after the deal, but then his luck ran out and he was caught by Louise<\/strong> who had four consecutive zero scores (remember it’s low scores that win). So Louise <\/strong>won with Tara<\/strong> 2nd and Rob <\/strong>3rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scheduled backup game Scattergories <\/em>was replaced after we found out Wayne <\/strong>would be absent (he has that game) – Tara <\/strong>brought a card game called Crack List<\/em> which turned out to be quite a success. It has many of the qualities of Scattergories <\/em>with a bit of similarity to Uno<\/em> thrown in. It’s now listed on the games page with a link to the rules. Peter<\/strong> won the game with Matt<\/strong> and Val<\/strong> the runners up. I have a feeling that Crack List will be picked again before the season ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
