{"id":257,"date":"2018-08-07T01:18:18","date_gmt":"2018-08-06T15:18:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sbgagames.com\/news\/?p=257"},"modified":"2018-08-07T01:18:18","modified_gmt":"2018-08-06T15:18:18","slug":"meeting-6-august-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sbgagames.com\/news\/meeting-6-august-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting 6 August 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Tara wins Sherlock<\/h3>\n<p>On a cold night at Macquarie Park there were just six of us to battle it out &#8211; <strong>Wayne<\/strong> was absent due to theatrical rehearsals, and <strong>Gill<\/strong> is occupied with her new baby.\u00a0 Our host <strong>Genelle<\/strong> was packed and ready to depart on her epic holiday, part of which involves walking about 300km across England!\u00a0 There were two main changes of position after this meet &#8211; <strong>Tara<\/strong> has overtaken <strong>Louise<\/strong> to sit only 25 points behind the lead, and <strong>Genelle<\/strong> has overtaken <strong>Mark<\/strong>, but only by 25 points. <strong>Jordan <\/strong> has caught up and tied with <strong>Gill.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Sherlock Holmes<\/em> was a fairly close game with only 23 and 31 points separating the placegetters. <strong>Tara <\/strong>took the lead early by taking a punt on <strong>Rob <\/strong>harbouring a villain and making an arrest, only to discover to her delight he was sheltering <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">two<\/span> of them.\u00a0 She came unstuck in the last round with the worst score of the game so far &#8211; 110 points, but was far enough ahead to win anyway. \u00a0<strong>Louise<\/strong>, although liking this game, still has trouble holding in her head all the info about what each card does and finds herself reading the rules almost continuously.
