We gathered at Stapleton’s in the midst of a raging thunderstorm which ended shortly before we left to go home – how considerate! In attendance were some ex-members as well as current ones. There was Leonie Shephard, Lindsay & Margret Askew, Nicole MacKenzie, and a flying visit from Rob Harris. Current members who turned up were Wayne, Rob & Christine, Mark & Jeannie, Louise & Marc. The rack of lamb was up to its usual standard, and in the absence of reports to the contrary, I must assume the other meals were just as good.
The Presidential trivia quiz was won by the R&C Askew team by a narrow margin of 1 point from the L&M Easton team. The SBGA trophy presentations were limited to only two members, the 2nd place and Spoon winners being absent – they’ll get theirs at the next meeting.
Looks like it was a great night, and from Nicole’s reports too. Such a shame I missed it!
