New Prize Regime
It was a warm – very warm – early summer evening as we gathered for dinner at Taren Point Bowlo. Only six of us turned up, Nicole in Canberra, and Louise in NZ couldn’t make it – maybe next year ladies?
The food was good, then we did the presentations in the new style – no trophies, just envelopes, and minimal speeches. We did examine the perpetual trophy offerings from our supplier’s catalogue and decided on a design – steps will be taken to get one up and running with our logo on it ASAP.
Your treasurer proposed that next year we could probably afford to increase the value of our new cash awards. It was generally agreed that more desirable prizes might be $100, $50, and $25 for the first three placegetters. We should put it to a formal vote at the first opportunity.
